Is it About the Story?
Does a picture exist without the Story? Is the precipitous of the whole process of painting , just a story or is it the artists day to day ,moment to moment experiences that make that story? Do we think we can understand another persons perspective, without a story?
Are people drawn to other peoples stories, my story, your story, or what happened on the way to work story, why am I here story, why are you here story?
Is a picture worth a thousand words or is worth a thousand stories.
Is it possible that those billions of experiential layers of deeply embedded stories are what makes each creative project unique? Why does a musician's composition or an actor's performance engage us. Perhaps it's about looking a little closer, beyond the words, beyond the sounds and beyond the surface of the picture to FEEL the essence of the story.
